its hard to tell somebody something they dont want to hear
its difficult to drive away and act like you have never known fear
but hours later you can mask it with the bottles of beer
laugh and joke with your comrades and still walk home nervous
my feet are filthy
cause i ran through the field
and my shoes were at home
i didnt think to put them on
and you were probably scared
